Meet the Falcons!

February 15, 2025

The Falcons have a strong drive to learn and grow as volleyball players. They have sought out opportunities to push their boundaries through playing up in higher age tournaments as well as in higher OVA divisions.

One recent highlight was the McGregor cup in which they won a closely fought bronze medal match against sister team Maverick Eagles (final score 20-18 in the third game).

The Falcons have a bright future thanks to their hard work ethic, team spirit, and remarkable fortitude in the face of adversity!

Coach Wrap-up

Maverick Falcons, thank you for a wonderful season in which you showed us fearless attacks and defence. We loved the creativity and passion you showed in trying out C-balls and quicks. Your towering blocks were a shock to all the teams that we played. Your overall focus on process over results was admirable and towards the end of the season it started paying dividends. Those bronze medals were well-earned in both OVA and Quebec tournaments. At provincials, you soared from a ranking of 58th to 43rd in the province with a 5-2 finish. You slayed giants to move from a 23rd seed to 9th in Division 2. Keep working hard Falcons towards your dreams, you will get there!
