Coaching Experience

Ling has over 35 years of coaching experience in Quebec and Ontario including 25 years as Head Assistant Coach with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Women’s Varsity Team. While with the Gee-Gees’ program, he served as the Director of the  Futures program for 5 years and toured Ontario coaching in various volleyball camps.

In addition, he has worked with both the men’s and women’s Team Ontario provincial programs, the Region 6 Boys’ team and the Kangaroos Volleyball Club.

Prior to moving to Ottawa, Ling coached the Beaconsfield Volleyball Club as well as working with the John Abbott College Women’s AAA team and the Men’s AA program.

Current Career

Ling works for the Federal Government as a senior executive. He is a certified Associate Coach with Integral Coaching Canada and provides executive/personal mentoring and coaching services.

Outside of volleyball, Ling was also a competitive touring ultimate player and represented Canada at two World Ultimate Championships (Germany 2000 and Finland 2004).
