Dear Maverick Community,
As we look to the future of Maverick Volleyball, our goal remains clear: to build a sustainable club with strong governance, professional leadership, and a structure that will serve our athletes, coaches, families and staff for decades to come.
To support that goal, we are pleased to share important updates in our leadership structure:
These changes reflect a deliberate shift in how Maverick Volleyball is led. For nearly 40 years, our club has been powered by the passion and commitment of its founders and our exceptional volunteers. As we evolve, our goal is to harness the strength of this volunteer community while providing professional leadership and strong governance—a structure that will protect our legacy and ensure Maverick Volleyball remains a leader in the sport for generations to come.
Importantly, this transition builds on the success of changes we’ve already made. Over the past seasons, we introduced the Program Manager role with our Learn-To-Play (“LTP”) and Regional Training Centre (“RTC”) programs. The results were clear: athletes and coaches benefited from greater attention, structure, and support. Expanding this model to our national and provincial programs is a natural evolution, one that ensures these high-performance pathways continue to receive the focus they need to remain leading edge.
This transition is fully aligned with our mission: to foster a passion for volleyball while instilling valuable skills and behaviours, and our vision: thriving communities inspired by exceptional Mavericks. These guiding statements remain at the heart of every decision we make as we take this next step.
We are grateful to all of you—athletes, parents, coaches, staff and volunteers—for the energy and commitment you bring to our community. With your continued support, and with these new roles in place, we are confident Maverick Volleyball is poised to thrive long into the future.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
With gratitude,
The Maverick Leadership Team
