Tryout registration opens on August 9th and tryouts begin on Sept 8th. All athletes need to attend physical testing and uniform sizing on September 9th, so clear your schedule – we look forward to seeing you there!
Please note: all 18U athletes begin their on-court tryout sessions on the evening of Sept 8th. In addition to the physical testing, each athlete will have at least two opportunities for on-court evaluation during the tryout window established by the OVA.
The official schedules for all age groups and genders will be posted in September, but are subject to change, so keep checking. Changes happen as we adjust to the number of athletes who register for each level to ensure we can properly evaluate everyone.
Tryouts will last from September 8th to September 23rd. It is important to attend all sessions for your age group to ensure a comprehensive assessment of skills and attitude.
All athletes must attend tryouts based on their year of birth. Athletes who would benefit by playing at a different age group will be identified by the evaluators of their age group and addressed with coaches of the new age group, parents and athlete.
WHERE: The gyms we use for tryouts are Mer Bleue, Franco Cité and St Patrick. More details will be available when the schedule is ready.
OFFERS: Athletes will be offered a position in the competitive program (traveling and non-traveling) in accordance with the OVAs offer process (dates will be indicated on the schedule).
SAFETY NET: Families who are new to the competitive side of the club, may wish to also register for a Learn to Play or Recreational program before those spots fill up. Athletes who are selected for a competitive program will be fully refunded their LTP/Rec program registration.
