Sponsorship

The Maverick Volleyball Club is a registered non-profit sports organization that had been administered by volunteers since its modest launch in 1985. Over the years, and now with the addition of a small cadre of part time administrators, it has grown to become the largest single-city volleyball club in Canada and we feel that is due, in great part, to our commitment to creating a growth environment for both players and coaches alike. How can you help? Read on.

There are many sponsorship opportunities available to help individuals or teams reduce their sporting costs, and to help us provide professional development opportunities for coaches. A small portion of each sponsorship goes towards the Benevolent Fund for financial needs players.

A business receipt will be provided once the sponsorship money has been received. To obtain a business receipt, please contact John Layton with all relevant information (a completed copy of the sponsorship template) by email or by phone.

Benefactor Level

Donations support both athlete and coach development programming within all Maverick levels (Learn-to-Play, Recreational, and Competitive). This may include needs related to clothing, facilities and/or new equipment (negotiable).

To activate the most benefits offered to the Club Benefactor, arrangements should be made before mid-August (when we finalize our order for tryout shirts), however, we can accommodate mid-season sponsorship offers.

Club Benefactor (all levels)

Contribution of $10,000-$50,000.

Logo on back or sleeve of all LTP and Recreational shirts, and Competitive tryout shirts (approx 30,000 shirts);
Hyperlinked logo on Maverick web site for full season;
Postings (3) on social media;
Your company logo on all e-newsletters for the year;
Your company banner displayed at special events;
Opportunity to distribute promo items to Maverick players;
Opportunity to distribute promo material at Maverick events;
Opportunity to speak at two year-end events: senior banquet and junior Beach BBQ;
Thank you letter sent by Maverick Volleyball President;
Business Receipt;
Option: Maverick can organize a 1-day fun volleyball event for your staff.

Competitive Level Benefactor

Contribution of $5,000-$50,000

Logo on competitive tryout shirt sleeve or back (approx. 1200 shirts);
Logo and hyperlink on Maverick web site and team page for full season;
Your company banner displayed at Maverick events and coach development sessions;
Posting on social media;
Opportunity to speak at two year-end events: senior banquet and junior Beach BBQ;
Thank you letter from Maverick Volleyball;
Business receipt.

Competitive Team or Squad Sponsors

Donations to National or Provincial competitive teams will be deposited into their team account. Donations to Regional squads (or to an RTC age group) will be divided accordingly and refunds sent to all members of that squad or age group.

Recommended contributions of $750-$5,000

Logo and hyperlink on Maverick web site and team page;
Posting in social media;
Your company banner displayed by sponsored team at year-end event;
Thank you letter from Maverick Volleyball;
Business receipt.

Individual Athlete Sponsors

Maverick Volleyball will only be involved in donations for individuals from the large youth sport sponsorship organizations (such as Canadian Tire’s JumpStart, KidSport or Their Opportunity programs (info).

If a player-family seeks donations from any local private company or individual, the sponsor will make the donation directly to the athlete’s family and the recipient family will be responsible for the cost of providing any benefits required. Maverick Volleyball will not be involved in any way. No business receipt can be supplied.

Recreational Programs Supporter

Donations support elements of athlete and coach development programming (may include clothing, adding facilities and/or replacing old equipment) for the Learn-to-Play and Recreational-level programs.

Contribution of $2,000–$5,000

Logo on back or sleeve of House League and Developmental shirts (approx 1200 shirts);
Logo and hyperlink on Maverick web page;
Your company logo on all Learn-to-Play and Recreational e-newsletters for the year;
Opportunity to distribute promo material during Maverick events;
Thank you letter from Maverick Volleyball;
Business Receipt;
Option: Maverick will organize a 1-day fun volleyball event for your staff.

Adopt an Event

Contributions of $1,000 (or more)

Opportunity to include your name in the title of a specific event, such as the annual 4-Fun tournament, Coaches Day, Mavs Day, etc; (“presented by name“)
Option to address the audience to start the event;
Thank you letter from Maverick Volleyball;
Business receipt.
