Playing History

I started playing volleyball in the Maverick learn to play/ game on programs and summer camps. I played for two years on Maverick competitive teams before chronic injuries ended my competitive playing career.

Coaching Experience

In the fall of 2022 I started my coaching career with Maverick volleyball coaching the learn to play and game on programs. In 2023 I became a coach for the inaugural CTC (now RTC) programs coaching the 13u/14u girls and 16u/17u boys CTC Programs. January 2024 I became the head coach of the newly formed 17u cowboys, finishing the season with a D2T2 silver medal at the provincial championships. After coaching summer camps in the summer of 2024 I continued coaching with the 15u/16u boys and 17u/18u boys RTC. I am currently the assistant coach for the newly formed 18u boys Pacers.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is modelled around the holistic coaching style. Prioritizing athletes’ mental, emotional, and physical health with the goal of fostering personal growth alongside athletic success and development. I believe tailoring and adjusting my approach and strategy to each athletes specific needs, strengths, and learning style to be the most effective coaching style. My coaching style incorporates sports psychology techniques in addition to athlete feedback to create a positive environment for my athletes. I believe that there is no one size fits all coaching philosophy and that becoming a successful athlete should not come at the cost of your physical and mental health.

Current Career

I am currently a second year student at the University of Ottawa studying political science and history.
