Development Coach (Certified)
I started playing volleyball when I was 14 in Ottawa, but really fell in love with it in high school at Colonel By SS. I played for Saint Mary’s University in Halifax as a Middle from 1993-1997, with our team efforts culminating in an undefeated regular season and AAU Championship in my final season. Following my varsity days, I settled down in the outskirts of Cornwall, ON where I continue to play whenever I can.
I began my coaching journey close to home in 2011 with the Cornwall Vikings Volleyball Club, starting with youth development programs and working my way into head coaching roles in the competitive stream, until COVID forced that Club to shut down. After a three year break, I returned to my volleyball roots in Ottawa and Maverick Volleyball where I hope to continue to build on my coaching knowledge and skills in both development and competitive programs for years to come.
I aim to create a nurturing environment where young athletes can thrive, develop a deep understanding of volleyball, and foster a lifelong passion for the sport. To understand the game is to love the game. 🏐
I’m an Elementary School Office Administrator with the Upper Canada District School Board.
