Post-Secondary added to Summer Programs

2022 / 05 / 28

Maverick Volleyball is partnering with SportsCan for High Performance training – this is GREAT NEWS for competitive volleyball in Ottawa!

This partnership will consolidate the delivery of our well-established High Performance camps for boys and girls, and provide SportsCan's post-secondary training options to the older athletes.

Registration is now open for the PEP Program (13-17U) or PSP Training (17U-24 yrs), see the links below.

Working with the great people at SportsCan will allow us to provide a wider range of high-level opportunities for athletes who are determined to train to the max!

Progress, Execute, Perfect – PEP Program

• 13U-17U Girls
• 13U-17U Boys (formerly HP Off-Season Summer Training Program)

PEP (Progress, Execute, Perfect) – this gender-specific program combines intense skill development drills with opportunities for athletes to compete against each other.

Immersed in a dynamic environment that promotes intensity – through high rep volume, a low athlete-to-coach ratio, and use of technology – athletes will have the opportunity to improve skills while putting those skills to game-like tests.

The program will identify individual weaknesses, giving athletes the opportunity to focus on key improvements and apply them to game situations.

Post Secondary Performance – PSP Training

• Acceptance is based on skill level
• 18U and post-secondary athletes get first priority
• 17U athletes are eligible to apply for the program

This off-season training program is geared towards the University/College athlete and also the 17/18U athlete heading to play post secondary in the next year. Players looking to maximize their off-season training will want to join us.

We understand the issues facing the student-athlete during the summer – you need to earn enough money to cover your school year but you also need to get into the gym to maximize athletic gains and improve individual skills to ensure your spot on the team come September. With the minimal time available to athletes and the different needs of each student-athlete, we have a variety of programs and affordable prices to meet your time and needs.
