2021 Maverick VB Summer Camps

2021 / 05 / 18

While there are still a number of unknowns for the spring and summer months, we have now opened registration for some of our camps. We will be focused on outdoor and beach volleyball as much as possible to ensure that we do have successful summer programming this year. Indoor volleyball will be mixed in with our outdoor camps.

Beach Volleyball Camps will be located primarily at MaxVolley courts at the Richcraft Sensplex on Shefford Rd. in Glouceseter but also in Kanata at the MaxVolley courts at the Bell Sensplex. Our BVB camps will be open to youth aged 9-16 yrs of age. Athletes will be divided into small groups based on a combination of age and skill level and assigned a group coach for the full week. Instruction of the beach game will focus on the core skills and tactics of BVB.

Our daily activities will include complimentary games such as Cross-Net, Spike-Ball, Ultimate, and other field sports

We have established a home base for our Indoor/Outdoor Volleyball Camps at St Patrick CHS on Alta VIsta Ottawa. These camps will offer half days of indoor volleyball, focusing on skill development and team play and the other half outdoor volleyball, providing skill instruction and tactics of beach volleyball. These camps are open to those children aged 8-16.

Outdoor activities may also include field sports such as football, soccer, frisbee, Cross-Net and Spike-Ball.

All camps will run 9h00-16h00 daily. To mitigate any added health concerns we will not be able to offer early drop off or late pick up services.

We will have COVID Health protocols in place for the full summer. This will be communicated to all families prior to the start of each camp. We will take our lead from our local and provincial health officals.
