2019 Performance Beach Volleyball/Tennis Summer Camp

When: July 15 - 19, 2019

Where: Ottawa Tennis & Lawn Bowling Club - 176 Cameron Ave.

Hours: Daily from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (Early drop off and late pick available at no extra charge)

Cost: $309.00 + HST 

Parents... what you should know!

Mavs and OTLBC Certified coaches will lead camp programs.

Minimum 2 hours of Tennis and BVB each day

Bring your swimwear as a dip in the OTLBC pool will be a welcome part of the camp activities (certified Lifeguards on duty)

Space is Limited In order to offer more hands on coaching and maximum playing time.

BVB programs are based on Sport Canada’s “Long Term Athlete Development” program, respecting child's development stages.

Rain or shine. If conditions are too severe outside, an indoor backup activity will take place.

Pre-Register for on-site lunch ($10/day) at the OTLBC restaurant or bring your own

Program Avtities:

BEACH: Essential beach volleyball skills and fundamentals will be taught and refined. Athletes will be introduced to tactical aspects of the beach game. 2v2 and 4v4 game play will be part of each day’s activities with tactical aspects of the beach game taught. All learning styles will accommodated and each athlete will benefit from 8:1 coach to athlete ratio as well as the opportunity of frequent ball touches and playing time.

TENNIS: You will learn or improve the five most important strokes: forehand, backhand, serve, volley, and overhead and learn the basic rules and scoring for tennis and we will get you to play games right away. You’ll get better fast, understand the game more, and have fun doing it. By the end of this camp, you’ll be able to take on your friends and your family.

BEACH TENNIS: OTLBC is proud to introduce Beach Tennis to Ottawa! One of the fastest-growing sports in the world, Beach Tennis can be played by all ages and playing abilities. The sport is often played on a beach volleyball court with a different net, paddle racquet and a depressurised tennis ball. There are no bounces, only volleys and serves, and can be a fast pace game!
