Second Round of Nationals in and another Div 1 medal

2016 / 05 / 16

The 17u Rangers lead the parade after the weekend winning the Bronze at a full Nationals held in Saskatoon. A tough three set loss in the semis is still stinging the boys as it came at the hands of our rivals from Mississauga the Pakmen. However a highlight win over the Ontario Champs in the quarters was a huge win for the group.

The 18u boys completed a 5 years sweep of fifth place with another tough loss to the Pakmen group that they fell to last year and the year before. The weekend was highlighted with a big rebound win over Manitoba 204 who defeated the 'Stangs on the opening day.

Meanwhile closer to home in Waterloo the 15u girls Ambush was having the best tournament of their careers. Their 4th place standing was the best finish of the season and the weekend was capped with wins over both Ontario 2 and Ontario 3 on the second and third day when they both counted huge. A tough semifinal loss to the Ontario Champions in three sets was the end of the miracle on sport court for the team, however the bronze medal game was a bit of a letdown as the team fell in straight sets to les Libelluelles from Montreal.

The 15u Stampede finished 3rd in Div 2 T2 while the Trailblazers struggled all weekend finishing T5th Div 2 T4

The 15u Scout were competing in Division 3 and scored a T-3 in T2.

The 15u boys were also in Waterloo and after losing two key players early in the event the team rose up to finish a respectable 10th in Division 1.
