
Maverick Players named to Team Ontario

Across two age groups and two Provinces Maverick players will represent their club this summer in Edmonton, AB & in Richmond, BC at the NTCC tournament in late July.
Named to the team Ontario 16u girls squad are Mia Workman and Rebecca Maxwell from the Outlaws. They will be joined in the new 16u category for Team Ontario by Longhorns, Alexandre Nsakanda, Alexandre St-Denis and Jackson Dunning.
At the 18u level back in June Jacob Nesbitt who hails from Wakefield PQ was named to the Quebec NTCC team at their try-out camp in Sherbrooke. Meanwhile Desperados teammate Kevin Lebreux was just named to Team Ontario along with Coach Frank St-Denis.
Meanwhile over on the girls 18u side, Team O veterans Émie Gaboury, Claudia Besner and Alina Dormann were given their second consecutive nod to Team O roster spots. New this year to the team O experience Antoinette Ntwambe who played for the 17u BlackJacks this season.
In all a total of 11 Maverick players will train for a week in July before traveling to Edmonton to compete in the National Team Challenge Cup. While there all players will be considered for team Canada selection camps to follow.
Exciting times for all of us here in the club but especially for these young players.
