President & Founder - Kerry MacLean

Kerry founded the Maverick Volleyball Club in 1985 and is a Certified Level 2 Coach. He has been coaching volleyball at Colonel By Secondary School for the past 20 years and his coaching highlights include: 31 league championships, 18 regular seasons undefeated and four OFSAA top four finishes, culminating in a gold medal in 1988.

He has been the Region 6 Athlete Development Program Chair for the past four years and has coached the Regional Team for three of them. Kerry was a member of the McMaster University Marauders Volleyball Team from 1979 to 1983.

Recently retired from his teaching position at Colonel By, Kerry is currently working along side his wife, Christine with her publishing career. He is married with three children (who also love volleyball).

Vice-President – John Nguyen

John was a former player with the Club from 1989 to 1992. He played one season with the University of Ottawa Men's Club team.

He returned to Ottawa to coach with the Club in 2001. He is a certified Level One volleyball coach and is working on completing his Level Two. John has coached at the high school level, 16U and 14U age groups. John has also attended two OVA Elite Training Centres and recently returned from the 2007 Regional Team Training Centre where he served as an assistant coach of the bronze medalist Region 6 Boy's team.

John is on his second term on the Executive of Region 6 Volleyball, serving as Vice President of the Region.

John is currently a manager in the Federal Government.

Vice-President – Greg Skotnicki

Greg began coaching with Maverick Volleyball in 2000 and has worked with teams at all age levels. Prior to joining the club, he coached with the Nova Scotia Provincial Team Program, the Region 6 Midget Boys Team and the Colonel By Junior Boys Team. Greg is a certified Regional volleyball official and is the Vice President of Operations for Ontario Volleyball. Greg was a member of the Royal Roads Military College and Royal Military College volleyball teams from 1989 to 1993.

Greg currently holds the position of President at Manderley Turf Products.
