A product of Ottawa Volleyball, Cheryl has had literally a world of experience. Recruited out of Colonel By Secondary School to Virginia Tech (VT) in 1999 on a dual athletic scholarship (Volleyball & Track).

 

Cheryl quickly rose to the top of her NCAA conference in scoring and blocking – setting records for VT in the process.  

 

Upon returning to Canada, she was added to our National Team 'A' roster in 2003, where she remained for 3 years. During that time, Cheryl also played professionally in France, Germany, Spain and, as recently as 2015, in Portugal.  She has also spent time on the Beach circuit in Central America.  

 

Returning to the U.S., Cheryl spent 3 seasons at Appalachian State University and Roanoake VC.  

 

A mom to Cala (6) and a software engineer by trade, Cheryl has found multiple ways to put her fingerprint on our Maverick family in just over a year.  A specialty coach, tryout coordinator, website developer and now GM of the 11/12u CTC – we hope this is the start of a long and productive relationship together.
