Weekend Update

2017 / 12 / 11

The Weekend was a big one for our 15u girls teams. This division is growing stronger every tournament for us.

At the top the Ambush held their ground at Premier but it was Oh so close to a medal round performance with a tight three set loss to Pakmen in the quarter finals.

The good news is that the Stampede were incredibly successful at the 15u Select event winning gold and now will move up to join the Ambush in premier. Two teams in the top 10 in Ontario well done teams.

On top of all that the 15u Trailblazers came again within a whisker of a guaranteed move to Championship when they took Silver at the trillium level. There is a possibility of promotion so we will watch for that.

Also playing in this round of 15u were the 14u Outlaws and Raiders both finishing 5th at their respective Championship and Trillium events.

At 13u we had our Rattlers playing in the highest tier at this age 13u Championship. The girls were quickly taught a lesson in the difference in tiers as they finished at the bottom of the event and will return to trillium for our next meeting.

At Trillium this time around we find that the 13u Sidewinders started the day on fire winning both pool matches and their quarter final to put them in the medal orund. Unfortunately there they ran into a swarm of Durham attack teams in both matches and finsihed 4th.

At this same event our 12u Spurs were in thick every match winning sets along the way, but this level was a great learning esperience and will serve them well at thie r next 12u event I am sure.

Over on the boys side the 14u teams were in action with the Bandits playing in their first premier event.the team split their pool matches but ran into tough losses in their next two to finish 7th where they will move back to championnship for their next tournament.

At the Championship event this weekend the Renegades were struggling to put things away in the big moments and they finished 9th and will have to get back to work beofre the next torunament where they will likely face the Bandits at some point.

Well that's it from the Caribbean and I hope to see eveyone at eh Mavs4Fun Christmas event on the 17th when I return.
